A remake of the 1990 sci-fi action film of the same name, starring Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Bryan Cranston, Jessica Biel & Ethan Hawke. Like the original, this reboot is inspired by the famous short story "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale" by Philip K. Dick. For factory worker Douglas Quaid (Farrell), the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life - real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man as he finds himself on the run from the police.

Kate Beckinsale is set to star in 'The Disappointments Room'.

The 40-year-old actress is in talks to take on the lead role in the supernatural thriller, which will see her play a mother who drags her family to a country house where she is driven crazy by constant visions of a dead child who haunts the property.

D J Caruso has signed up to direct the movie from a script penned by Wentworth Miller, who wrote spooky thriller 'Stoker', according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, Beckinsale has been approached to take the title role in the forthcoming movie 'Eliza Graves', which will be directed by Brad Anderson.

If she accepts the role, the actress will portray a patient in a mental institution, which has been taken over by its inmates.

She quickly catches the eye of a new Harvard Medical School graduate, but the man has no idea the hospital is not what it seems.

Beckinsale was most recently seen in cinemas in 'Total Recall' and she recently completed work on 'The Trials Of Cate McCall'.
