Taylor Lautner credits his 'Twilight' co-stars with helping him cope with the pressures of fame.

The actor - who plays werewolf Jacob Black in the vampire movie franchise - admits starring in such high-profile films has been quite hard because of the attention they create but is grateful Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were there to give support.

He said: "It was really helpful that all of us were going through the same thing at the same time. I think if we didn't have that sort of relationship it would have been tough.

"It would have felt pretty lonely. Because when you are filming for these 'Breaking Dawn' movies - we were filming for seven months - and if you're there alone the whole time even with the cast members, like on a day off, or on weekends, you'd go nuts."

The final two movies in the franchise - 'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1' and 'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2' - are due out at the end of this year and next year and Taylor believes fans' obsession with the films has nothing to do with the actors and everything to do with the characters they play.

He told VMAN magazine: "It's definitely these characters we are playing. They are in love with Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black. I mean, they feel like they know them. We are just lucky enough to be playing them. But I definitely think it's the characters."
