Justin Theroux ready for comedy

Movie Description(Click Here To Hide)
A film crew is in Southeast Asia filming a Vietnam-war memoir. It's early in the shooting, but they're already behind schedule and over budget. On the day an accident befalls the novice director, the cast and crew are attacked by a gang of poppy-growing local drug dealers, except the cast and crew don't realize these aren't actors who are stalking them. The thugs kidnap Tugg Speedman (Ben Stiller), an actor whose star seems on the decline, and it's up to the rest of the ragtag team to band together long enough to attempt his rescue. Directed, co-written and co-produced by Stiller, the hilarious comedy film also stars Robert Downey Jr., Jack Black, Brandon T. Jackson & Jay Baruchel.

Justin Theroux would love to direct a comedy.

The 'Your Highness' actor - who co-wrote 'Tropic Thunder' with Ben Stiller - admitted working on the action satire which also stars funnyman Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. opened his eyes to how rewarding comedy can be.

He said: "I've been working on 'Documental' for HBO, which I am the director of with Steve Coogan. I think I'd like to do a comedy.

"When we did 'Tropic Thunder', Ben was such a good director. It was fun watching him and that's what is great about the action-comedy genre, you get to scratch the edge of doing big, huge movies but don't have to deliver on drama. I'd like to do something like that, an action comedy."

Multi-talented Justin is a writer, actor and director and while he believes writing is the most satisfying, he confessed he finds acting more "fun".

He said: "Writing is probably more satisfying. Directing I have only done once but I would like to do some more. It is deeply satisfying to make all the decisions, but writing at the moment has been very nice and cool.

"Acting is just more concentrated fun, especially on something like 'Your Highness' where it is such a fun comedy. And it is really fun. It's one of those things where you read the script and it's such a good idea, a no-brainer."
