It's Almost the Weekend! What Will You See?

Michael Bay brings a new blockbuster to the theaters on Friday, April 26. Based on a true story, "Pain & Gain" follows a group of muscle-bound bodybuilders who wind up caught in a risky scheme to make something more out of their lives. Daniel may have discipline to spare when it comes to lifting, but his job at a gym does not really allow him to live the high life. Desperate to escape his mediocre job, Daniel decides to turn to extortion to pay the bills. He ends up in over his head when the plan goes sour. "Pain & Gain" has an R rating for crude mature content, bloody violence, nudity, drug use, and persistent language.

"The Big Wedding" stars Robert DeNiro and Diane Keaton as Don and Ellie, a couple who have long since parted ways. Although they are divorced, Don and Ellie have one thing in common: their adopted son, Alejandro. Now Alejandro is getting married to the girl of his dreams, and his biological mother decides to show up for the occasion. The only problem is, Alejandro insists that Don and Ellie have to make his mother comfortable by pretending that they are still lawfully wedded and perfectly happy together. The comedy has an R rating for nudity, mature content, and language. Justin Zackham directs.

Jeff Nichols directs "Mud," which is set in an Arkansan town without many opportunities. When young Ellis and his friend, Neckbone, stumble across a fugitive, the mysterious stranger instantly fascinates the two teenagers. He shares tales from his hardscrabble, adventurous life, asking the boys to help him reconnect with his one true love. Ellis and Neckbone agree to join forces with the fugitive, but it could forever change their lives. Smoking, thematic elements, language, mature references, and violence contribute to a PG-13 rating.

"Arthur Newman" opens in select theaters on April 26. When a man realizes that his life holds nothing worthwhile, he decides to end it. Or so it seems to the outside world. In reality, though, the man has faked his death and assumed a new identity, as Arthur Newman. When Arthur meets a young woman who also seems bent on escaping her past, the two begin to realize that there is much more to their problems. Dante Ariola directs the comedic drama, which is not yet rated.

"At Any Price" arrived in limited theaters on Wednesday, April 24. Henry Whipple is proud of his family business. He is a giant in his agricultural business, and the only thing he needs to complete his empire is to hand the reigns over to his son, Dean. His son, however, has other plans. As tensions brew between Henry and Dean, a larger threat looms at the corner of their lives. Director Ramin Bahrani's thriller has an R rating for language and mature content that includes a graphic image.

"The Reluctant Fundamentalist" is a thriller from director Mira Nair. Changez is a young Pakistani man who has built a successful life for himself in the United States. His success on Wall Street makes it seem as if Changez is living out the ultimate American dream. After the United States survives the life-changing attacks on September 11, 2001, Changez cannot help but notice that the country he loves has become a far more uncertain place. The film's R rating is due to violence, language, and mature content.

"Oblivion" stars Tom Cruise as one of the last humans left on Earth. The surviving members of the human race have moved to a space station, after a terrible war left the planet scarred and uninhabitable. Jack, part of a salvage crew, is waiting to join the others, but strange encounters make him second-guess everything he knows about the planet and his place on it. The movie's PG-13 rating is due to nudity and sensuality, brief strong language, and sci-fi action violence. Joseph Kosinski directs the film.

"42" is a biopic about a baseball legend, directed by Brian Helgeland. Jackie Robinson has the potential to become one of the best athletes the world has ever seen. Unfortunately, racial tensions and prejudice make his path all the more difficult. With determination and courage, however, Robinson hopes to join Brooklyn Dodgers and make history. The film has a PG-13 rating for thematic elements, including language.

"The Croods" is a family-friendly animated movie from Kirk DeMicco and Chris Sanders. The Croods never venture far from their cozy cave, but fate has other plans for the family. A natural disaster sends the clan out into the world, where they soon discover that they have a lot to learn about getting by. With the help of a friendly guide, they embark on an adventure. "The Croods" has a PG rating for scary action sequences.
