Mila Kunis' 'Oz: The Great and Powerful' character is like a naive ''teenager''.

The 'Ted' star portrays Theodora the Good Witch in the forthcoming blockbuster - which also stars James Franco, Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz - and she says her character has to grapple with the ''heartache of life'', leading to her making some wrong decisions.

She said: ''I see her as a teenager. She throws a fit when she doesn't get her way.

''She's really naive, means well, believes that people are good and ultimately just can't deal with the heartache of life.

''She reaches a crossroads and takes the wrong path.''

The film is filled with special effects and green screen work, but it didn't worry Mila thanks to her previous stint in comedy 'Ted', which featured Mark Wahlberg and a talking teddy bear.

She told Empire magazine: ''I spent weeks staring at a ping pong ball on 'Ted', so I wouldn't say I was fazed by looking at different ping pong balls for this movie.''

Although the journey Mila's character takes is expected to lead to comparisons with The Wicked Witch of the West from 'The Wizard Of Oz', the actress isn't concerned about comparisons with Margaret Hamilton, who played the villain in the 1939 movie.

She said: ''I don't even think about trying to compete with Margaret Hamilton.

''It's just two different takes on the same character.''
