Tribeca Film Festival: "Night Moves" Review

3

Director Kelly Reichardt gives us a powerful and thrilling film with her addition the the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival, Night Moves.  The movie centers around a small group of environmentalists that are sick and tired of watching the world be destroyed by corporate America.  The main character Josh (Jesse Essenberg) devises a plan with his friend Harmon (Peter Sarsgaard) to blow up the local dam that has destroyed the salmon population.  Josh’s friend Dena (Dakota Fanning) also gets involved and the three seek vengeance inside a boat filled with explosives.

Tribeca Film Festival: "Boulevard" Review

3

Well, I officially saw the most unexpected film so far of the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival. That is probably because I didn’t read all that much about the Dito Montiel directed film Boulevard, and sort of went in not knowing what to expect. I know Robin Williams, who plays banker Nolan Mack, can do a dramatic role as we have all scene in Good Will Hunting, and What Dreams May Come but this role definitely does not have the comic relief of a movie like Patch Adams.
