Martin Freeman is an English actor. He's recently been cast in the role of Bilbo Baggins for Peter Jackson's two-part film prequel The Hobbit (2012 & 2013).

In 2010 Freeman starred alongside Mandy Moore as the character of her husband, Alvin Finkel, in Swinging with the Finkels.

He's also known for his roles as John in Love Actually, Tim Canterbury in the BBC's The Office, Arthur Dent in Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and Mr. Madden in Nativity!.
