Snow White and the Huntsman to be a trilogy
'Snow White and the Huntsman' will be a trilogy.
Producer of the movie Joe Roth - which stars Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth as the titular characters and Charlize Theron as evil Queen Ravenna - revealed there will be further versions of the action-adventure movie.
He said: "It's meant to be the first in a series of films. This story will end, but there will be questions remaining for these three characters."
The film - which is inspired by fairytale 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' - tells the story of Snow White who is forced to live with hard-nosed Queen Ravenna, who sends Eric the huntsman to kill her after finding out the beautiful woman is set to become the fairest in the land.
The 'Alice In Wonderland' producer added to Entertainment Weekly: "We retain the basic story in the same way we retain the basic story of Alice, a young girl meant to be the queen who is cast out.
"The huntsman is a mercenary, in the sense that he's a guy who is very able in the woods, more able than most anyone. His job is to capture runaway girls, who are all fleeing the kingdom because of the queen. He's a nondescript bounty hunter, as we first meet him."
The movie is set to debut in June 2012, around the same time as an as-yet-untitled Snow White film, which will star Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen.
