Henry Cavill says 'Justice League' isn't ''around the corner''.

The 'Man of Steel' actor doesn't think the long-rumoured DC Comics superhero team-up movie - which will be in a similar vein to Marvel's 'The Avengers' - will be made any time soon.

He told ABC News: ''I think it would be great to do, but I don't think it's around the corner.''

The star, who plays Superman in the recently released rebooted version of the classic superhero movie, feels there are numerous challenges to overcome before bringing 'Justice League' - which would also feature other DC Comics heroes such as Batman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern - to the big screen.

Cavill specifically points out that it would be difficult to introduce otherworldly characters such as Wonder Woman and Green Lantern into the gritty, realistic world created by 'Man of Steel'.

He explained: '''Justice League' could be great if done correctly. It's a very tough one to do because the DC comic heroes are all god-like in their power. So in this real world universe, real world setting we're telling our story in, it's going to be tough to achieve that.

''It has to be done very delicately with a lot of thought. So, it won't be right away. I hope it's not, anyway. It may take some time of building up other movies and other characters and introducing them together in one way or another.''

For now fans can look forward to a 'Man of Steel' sequel as Warner Bros. has tasked writer David S. Goyer with penning a follow-up script.

'Man of Steel' topped box office charts earlier this month and has taken more than $400 million worldwide since its release.
