Chris Messina is an American actor who hails from New York. His most prominent role to date is the one he played in Ben Affleck's 2012 historical drama Argo. The New York native is the face of Malinov in the Oscar-nominated film, which is centered around the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis.
As for his work on television, Chris Messina has a recurring role on HBO's Aaron Sorkin series "The Newsroom." He's also a regular on the FOX comedy "The Mindy Project", where he plays Dr. Castellano.
The handsome actor got his big break when he was cast in the role of Ted Fairwell on the HBO drama series "Six Feet Under" in 2005.
