Noomi Rapace praises Tattoo casting
Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren and Mary-Louise Parker star in the 2010 action-comedy that is "Red". After he's threatened by a high-tech assassin, former black-ops agent Frank Moses (Willis) reassembles his old crew to go after their longtime assailants. The movie's title (RED) stands for "Retired Extremely Dangerous".
Noomi Rapace has praised Rooney Mara's casting in 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'.
Noomi plays Lisabeth Salander in the original trilogy of films but said she admired the decision by studio bosses to cast a relative unknown in the English language remake of the Swedish novel.
She said: "I think that it's good to cast an unknown as it is easier for people to accept it then, but I haven't seen her so I don't know.
"I'm not a sentimental person so I don't have a problem with someone else playing her; it's not like someone is taking anything from me."
24-year-old 'Social Network' actress Rooney stars alongside Daniel Craig in the big budget Hollywood remake directed by David Fincher but Noomi insisted she never had any aspirations to take on the lead role again.
She told Marie Claire magazine: "Nobody asked me and I wasn't interested. I was very clear that I didn't want to do it all again. But people always expect you to be full of bulls**t.
"When it was announced that David Fincher was doing the remake everyone came back to me and said, 'Oh, have you changed your mind?' and I was like, 'No, no way. I respect him but no, I'm done."
