Christopher Plummer and Ewan McGregor play a father and son duo coming to terms with who they really are at a late point in life. Plummer plays Hal, the father of Oliver (McGregor), who at 75 years of age comes out of the closet and announces that he has terminal cancer. His son, understandably shocked, seeks to relieve his confusion and sadness while at the same time realizing that this new honesty has brought him closer to his dad than he'd ever imagined.
